I grew up in the small town of Urbanna, Virginia and most of my family lives either in Urbanna or Richmond.
After graduating from Christchurch School in Middlesex County, I attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts where I graduated with honors (Phi Beta Kappa). I went on to receive my medical degree with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) from The University of Virginia. At Ohio State University, I completed my surgical residency in otolaryngology.
I was Board Certified in otolaryngology head and neck surgery in 1999. I have been practicing medicine in the Richmond area since 1998 and opened Comprehensive ENT in 2006.
